about me

I'm a 2014 graduate of Ithaca College with a B.A. in Environmental Studies, concentrating on Sustainable Food Systems.

I grew up in the Greater Hartford region of Connecticut, where my love for the natural world was born through playing in the woods in my backyard and on nature walks through the park with my family. Gardening has been an important part of my life for as long as I can remember, and my parents' decision to move to the country and become homesteaders when I started college fostered my interest in agriculture.

I want to change the world through food. Food is such a basic need in our lives, and yet our current food system obscures the true environmental, economic, and social costs of the meals that end up on our plate. I believe that learning how to grow your own food and connect with the earth can be an empowering and beneficial experience. I have already begun my journey to cultivate a better tomorrow through sustainable agriculture, and am excited to see how my path grows.
